Installation Instructions.
The following sections will provide you with more information how to install Dutchclamp cable clamps and blocks:
General Recommendations for Mounting Dutchclamp Cable Clamps.
1. Make sure the cable outer diameter is within the dimensional range for the selected cable clamp model.
2. The contact surface in the clamps and cables should be free from foreign objects (debris) that may damage the cable jacket upon torquing.
3. The contact surface in the clamps and cables should be free from any substances such as lubricants, oils, etc. that may cause the cables to slip after installation. This is particularly important for installations where the cables are mounted vertically or at an angle.
4. Use a torque wrench to verify that the hardware is adjusted at the recommended torque values.
5. Do not over-torque excessively, as this may cause damage to the cable and/or the clamp.
6. When using the elastic inlay, the ribbed side of the inlay should be the one in contact with the cable, and the flat part in contact with the clamp.
Recommended Torque Values for Mounting Hardware.
